Even though the Towson Generals have not done well against the Woodlawn Warriors recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Towson rang in the new year with a 55-46 win over Woodlawn. The win was familiar territory for Towson who now have four in a row.
Towson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jeremiah Harris led the charge by scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Korey Collins, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Towson now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Woodlawn, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Towson will be playing at home against Owings Mills at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Owings Mills is ranked 199th, while Towson is ranked 206th). As for Woodlawn, they will face off against Lansdowne at TBD on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Lansdowne and four for Woodlawn.
