The Juab Wasps suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They were the victim of a rough 64-39 loss at the hands of Manti. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Juab in their matchups with Manti: they've now lost seven in a row.
Daymon Wright and Jay Rowley certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Wright scored 12 points, while Rowley scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Manti got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Reggie Frischknecht out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Frischknecht is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 11 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jessen Barton, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Juab has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. As for Manti, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.
Juab will head out on the road to face off against Emery at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Emery has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 261 points over their last four matches. As for Manti, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Delta at 7:00 p.m. Delta is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
