The biggest upset of the week belonged to Sotomayor, who defeated 711th ranked Marshall, 28-0. Chase Keough threw for 142 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 60 yards in the win.
Adding to the longest winning streak in Northern this week, Eagle Rock beat Wilson 42-13. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
The Wolves' dynamic duo of Keough and Roberto Angulo proved to be unstoppable against the Barristers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Aaron Cox helped Sotomayor's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 49 yards.
5-foot-11 quarterback Chris Perez of the Mighty Mules is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,703. He has also thrown 17 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Brandon Oroxon. The Lincoln star has 46 catches for 840 yards.
Sotomayor moved up to 796 from 831 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Danny Castro's team climbed the ranks as a result of besting Marshall 28-0.
