The Owen Valley Patriots had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Cloverdale at home to the tune of 53-14. The result was nothing new for Owen Valley, who have now won three games by 34 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Owen Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyvan Bandy, who rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Another player making a difference was Calvin Dean, who gained 125 total yards and two touchdowns.
Owen Valley's win on Friday bumped their record up to 3-6. Cloverdale has been struggling this season, as they've lost seven of their first nine matches, which gives them a 2-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Owen Valley will take on Vincennes Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vincennes Lincoln comes into the match much higher ranked than Owen Valley in Indiana (Vincennes Lincoln is ranked 59th, while Owen Valley is ranked 216th). As for Cloverdale, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Riverton Parke at 7:00 p.m. Riverton Parke is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
