Aubrey Fox was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Avry Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Meanwhile, Hamilton Southeastern faced Fishers in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Royals put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 6-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Royals have posted against the Tigers since April 13, 2018.
Not much got past Grace Swedarsky, who gave up just two hits and racked up 17 Ks to keep Fishers off the board. Swedarsky has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Chloe Smith was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Makena Burlingame was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Hamilton Southeastern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Hamilton Southeastern is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Pendleton Heights, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
Pendleton Heights couldn't quite finish off Hamilton Southeastern in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can the Arabians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
