Basketball Recap: Bethlehem Center Falls Despite Big Games from Jason Zellie and Parker Amos

Bethlehem Center lost against Jefferson-Morgan last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bethlehem Center Bulldogs'2024 ended with a 56-37 defeat against the Jefferson-Morgan Rockets. The match marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Bethlehem Center had strong showings from Parker Amos, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 13 points and three steals, and Jason Zellie, who posted eight points. Zellie has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Jefferson-Morgan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jase Bedilion, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. Those 20 points gave Bedilion a new career-high. Houston Guesman was another key player, going 7 of 14 on his way to 16 points.

Bethlehem Center's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Jefferson-Morgan, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Bethlehem Center wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 78-29 victory against Mapletown on the 28th. As for Jefferson-Morgan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-27 win against Carmichaels on the 28th.
