After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Happy, the Dimmitt Bobcats were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They came out on top against Groom by a score of 36-24. That 36-24 margin sets a new team best for Dimmitt this season.
Dimmitt found their leader in underclassman kaden carpio, who scored nine points along with five rebounds. GaQuorie Chatham was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Dimmitt's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Groom, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Dimmitt will head out on the road to face off against Farwell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Farwell presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Dimmitt in Texas (Farwell is ranked 535th, while Dimmitt is ranked 1325th). As for Groom, they will be playing at home against Happy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
