After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mechanicsburg, Cumberland Valley was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Chambersburg Trojans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in August.

Cumberland Valley's record now sits at 5-3. As for Chambersburg, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-4.
Cumberland Valley and Chambersburg should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Eagles will challenge Cedar Cliff at 6:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (72 vs. 220). Meanwhile, Chambersburg (ranked 93rd) will meet Shippensburg (ranked 295th) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
