The Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors lost against the Kent Denver Sun Devils back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Eagle Ridge Academy took a serious blow against Kent Denver, falling 64-24. Eagle Ridge Academy has not had much luck with Kent Denver recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Eagle Ridge Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Madi DiLorenzo, who dropped a double-double on 13 rebounds and ten blocks, and Jaz Greenwood who scored nine points along with five assists. Greenwood scored a full 37.5% of Eagle Ridge Academy's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Eagle Ridge Academy bumped their record down to 6-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.3 points per game. As for Kent Denver, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eagle Ridge Academy and The Academy will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Kent Denver, they will head out on the road to face off against Peak to Peak at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Peak to Peak focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
