The Beauregard Hornets had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 30-28 win over Beulah on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Beauregard also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Beauregard can attribute much of their success to Cooper Watson, who scored 11 points along with 9 rebounds and 8 steals. Watson hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Lindsey Moulton was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Beauregard's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Beulah, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Loachapoka the next time they take the court. Beulah will host Loachapoka at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Beauregard will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
