Basketball Game Preview: Catawba Ridge Copperheads vs. Nation Ford Falcons

The Catawba Ridge Copperheads will head out to face off against the Nation Ford Falcons at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Catawba Ridge came up short against Indian Land and fell 63-53. The Copperheads haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Catawba Ridge might have lost, but man, Mark Caslaru was a machine: he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards. Caslaru is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last 21 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Thomas, who posted seven points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nation Ford, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Rock Hill by a score of 57-50 on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Nation Ford's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-13. As for Catawba Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 10-13.

Catawba Ridge came up short against Nation Ford in their previous meeting back in January, falling 61-52. Can Catawba Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
