On Friday Port Barre take on Opelousas Catholic at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close contest.
After having lost a blowout to Catholic of Pointe Coupee in their previous game, Port Barre were happy to find some success last week. Port Barre took their game against Beau Chene 9-0.
Meanwhile, it was close but no cigar for Opelousas Catholic as they fell 23-26 to Vermilion Catholic. This makes it the second loss in a row for Opelousas Catholic.
Port Barre's win lifted them to 1-1 while Opelousas Catholic's defeat dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Port Barre can add another positive mark to their record or if Opelousas Catholic can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Port Barre's step.
