Franklin Kirchner gave up the fewest walks he has since back in May of 2024 on Monday. He made a splash, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off 11 hits (and not a single walk). He was up against Palatine and has quite the history against that squad, as he also had a great game the last time he faced them back in May of 2024. Kirchner has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
