With a playoff win on the line, Carbon rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Providence Hall Patriots a 12-0 shutout. Considering Carbon have won 15 matches by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Providence Hall from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Malia Smith led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for five goals all by herself.

The win (which was Carbon's 14th in a row) raised their record to 17-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 95 goals over those 14 contests. As for Providence Hall, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

As of now, neither Carbon nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
