The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. On Friday Augusta will take on Central at 7:00 PM. The odds don't look promising for Augusta, but the bigger the opponent is, the harder they fall.
Last Friday, Augusta had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 28-20 win over El Dorado. Augusta found their leader in underclassman sophomore Ryan Andrews, who rushed for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up at the half for Central and Arkansas City, but Central stepped up in the second half. Central had just enough and edged out Arkansas City 20-17. The success made it back-to-back wins for Central.
Their wins bumped Central to 4-4 and Augusta to 3-5. While both teams are coming in off of wins, only one will triumph this week. Who will it be ? Check back in with MaxPreps after the game is over for details.
