The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ellaray Koch, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 18 points. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played.
Meanwhile, Overton waltzed into their match on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They strolled past the Vikings with points to spare, taking the game 49-35.
Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] better keep an eye on Daisy Ryan. She was instrumental in Overton's win, shooting 5-for-9 from long range and almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Trinity Cowett was another key player, putting up four points and nine boards.
Overton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 43 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Overton pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
