The Habersham School Patriots lost against Alleluia Community back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Habersham School fell to Alleluia Community 51-45.
The Habersham School's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anna Cadle, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Cadle has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Myla Shippy was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Alleluia Community got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alley McBride out in front who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Krementz, who scored 17 points.
The Habersham School's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-10. As for Alleluia Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
The Habersham School will head out on the road to square off against Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Christian's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so The Habersham School's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Alleluia Community, they will be playing at home against Heritage Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
