Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wendover). They managed a 52-48 win over the Manila Mustangs on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Mustangs two weeks ago, they had to take a 73-39 defeat.
Manila's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Oakley Browning, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 16 boards. Those 13 points gave Browning a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Slaugh, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds.
Wendover has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-18 record this season. As for Manila, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-10.
