After only one run in their last contest, Independence made sure to put some runs up on the board against Central on Thursday. The Independence Patriots blew past the Central Bobcats 17-3. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won seven in a row.

Sebastian Sandoval was incredible, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Josbian Vazquez, who scored three runs and stole Three bases.

Independence always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central only posted an OBP of .423.

Independence now has a winning record of 2-1.

Independence wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-3 loss against North Canyon on the 4th. As for Central, they have also already played their next matchup, a 13-4 defeat against Washington on the 4th.
