It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Wray Eagles had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They snuck past Holyoke with a 41-35 win. Winning may never get old, but Wray sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Wray's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Casey Midcap led the charge by rushing for 116 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 62 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Samuel Meisner, who rushed for 204 yards and two touchdowns.
Wray is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Holyoke, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.
Wray is on the road again on Saturday and play against Strasburg at 1:00 p.m. on November 18th. Strasburg is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games. Holyoke does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
