Considering the Blue Devils have won three contests by more than six  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Lyndan Flanary and  Bryant Mathis were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing,  Flanary   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Meanwhile,  Mathis   struck out eight batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits (and only one walk). At the plate,  Flanary  scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while going 2-for-5, while  Mathis  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI. Those  three  RBI gave  Mathis a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Tristan King, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-5. He also  hit two  doubles, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Egan Segers, who  scored a  run and  stole  Three bases. while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 Holmes County  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .600. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
