Mercy Culture Prep had to suffer through a rough 41-13 loss at the hands of Sacred Heart. Mercy Culture Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-6.
When it comes to explaining why Mercy Culture Prep lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Josh Marshall. Despite the final result, he picked up 171 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Marshall's longest reception was for an incredible 73 yards.
Mercy Culture Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Sacred Heart, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
Mercy Culture Prep will head out on the road to face off against Pantego Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pantego Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 11 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Sacred Heart, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Reicher Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Reicher Catholic comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
