In what's become a running theme this season, the Hoover Patriots gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 86-48 win over Torres. Winning may never get old, but Hoover sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Hoover got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Pamir Olivier out in front who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Rodriguez, who scored 16 points.
Hoover is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Torres, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.
Hoover will head out on the road to square off against the Rough Riders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: James Miller and Keon Hill. As for Torres, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Sunnyside knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 contests -- so hopefully the Toros like a good challenge.
