Quincy (Ill.) was defeated by
Alleman (Rock Island, Ill.), 26-7.
After taking the lead on a touchdown catch by
Kylee Dorsey in the second quarter, the Pioneers led 13-7 at the half.
Alleman expanded its lead to 12 points entering the fourth quarter. AHS's lone score in the quarter came on a Dorsey touchdown run.
Quincy's only touchdown came on an 84-yard run in the first quarter.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Rock Island school came away with a 17-7 victory.
The defeat comes as a step back for Quincy, who notched a 49-14 victory over Manual in its previous outing. The win brought Alleman's winning streak to four games.
Alleman (4-1) goes up against Rock Island in a Midwest 10 game matchup next week, while Quincy (3-2) locks horns with Peoria also in a Midwest 10 game.
