This season hasn't been kind to The Highland Tech Rams, who are still winless after their tenth game. They took a serious blow against East Gaston on Friday, falling 72-0. While losing is never fun, Highland Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 411th, while East Gaston is ranked 111th).
East Gaston got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Trenton Sherrill out in front who threw for 229 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Brown, who rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
Highland Tech's loss was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. As for East Gaston, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
Highland Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. East Gaston will head out on the road to face off against Maiden at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Maiden is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
