The Owensboro Catholic Aces put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past Fort Campbell 56-7 at home. The result was nothing new for Owensboro Catholic, who have now won eight matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Brady Atwell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 302 yards and five touchdowns while completing 84% of his passes. Atwell is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was William "Tutt" Carrico, who picked up 140 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Owensboro Catholic's win was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32 points. As for Fort Campbell, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-4.
Owensboro Catholic will head out on the road to face off against North Hardin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Campbell, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Webster County at 7:00 p.m.
