Waltrip is 9-1 against Austin since March of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Waltrip Rams will look to defend their home pitch against the Austin Mustangs at 7:45 p.m.
On Tuesday, Waltrip suffered a rough 6-2 loss at the hands of Sharpstown. Waltrip was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-0.
Meanwhile, Austin has not won a game since January 13th, a trend which continued on Tuesday. They and Carnegie Vanguard finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Austin's first draw of the season.
Waltrip has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. Austin's draw makes their record 1-5-1 on the season.
