There's no place like home for the Crane Cranes, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Alpine with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 60-43. That's another feather in the cap for Crane, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Alpine's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hope Dominguez, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Dominguez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Collete Fowlkes, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Crane pushed their record up to 15-4 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.9 points. As for Alpine, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
Crane and Midland Classical Academy will round out the year against one another at 11:00 a.m. on December 28th at. Hopefully Midland Classical Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Saturday. Alpine will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Stanton at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
