It was a good run, but The Brick Memorial Mustangs unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 21-7 bruising from Long Branch. Having soared to a lofty 41 points in the game before, Brick Memorial couldn't push the score so high this time.
Brick Memorial's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Connor Dietz, who rushed for 153 yards. Dietz is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played.
Brick Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 10-1. As for Long Branch, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Brick Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Long Branch will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Winslow Township at 6:00 p.m. on November 10th. Winslow Township will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
