River Valley entered their tilt with Ithaca on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 6-2. That's two games straight that the Blackhawks have won by exactly four runs.

River Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quincy Blakley, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

River Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Ithaca, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River Valley will square off against Prairie du Chien at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ithaca, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Crawford at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 2.5, the Trojans 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
