When it comes to explaining why Providence Athletic Cluv lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cameron Youmans. Despite the final result, he rushed for 161 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Youmans' longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards.
Leading Evangel Christian to victory were Caeleb Austin and Kemp Swords. Austin rushed for 113 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, while Swords threw for 231 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes. Swords has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cade Joiner, who picked up 97 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Providence Athletic Cluv's defeat dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Evangel Christian, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
