The Verdugo Hills Dons and the Jordan Bulldogs squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but sadly the Verdugo Hills Dons had to settle for second. Verdugo Hills had to suffer through a rough 38-3 loss at the hands of Jordan. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, Verdugo Hills couldn't push the score so high this time.
David Sandy was his usual excellent self, rushing for 328 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.9 yards per carry. Sandy is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last nine games he's played. De'Marion Brown made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Verdugo Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Jordan, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.
Verdugo Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jordan will square off against Bell at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th.
