Aztec waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Shiprock Chieftains get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Tigers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 8th.
Kaleb Hales and Hunter Clark did most of the damage at the plate: Hales scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Clark scored a run while going 3-for-3. Those two runs gave Hales a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadyn Brooks, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Aztec was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Aztec's record now sits at 7-11. As for Shiprock, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.
