Baseball Recap: Aztec's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Aztec waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Shiprock Chieftains get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Tigers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 8th.

Kaleb Hales and Hunter Clark did most of the damage at the plate: Hales scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Clark scored a run while going 3-for-3. Those two runs gave Hales a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadyn Brooks, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Aztec was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Aztec's record now sits at 7-11. As for Shiprock, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Aztec is set to take on their familiar foe Miyamura at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Shiprock will challenge rival Bloomfield at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
