Basketball Recap: Master's Academy Piles Up the Points Against Pineapple Cove Classical Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Master's Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Pineapple Cove Classical Academy Patriots 49-9. Master's Academy pushed the score to 33-9 by the end of the third, a deficit Pineapple Cove Classical Academy had little chance of recovering from.

Leading Master's Academy to victory were Alison Viersma and Phoenix Henderson. Viersma posted 19 points along with eight steals and six boards, while Henderson went 5 of 11 on her way to 14 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Those 19 points gave Viersma a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gia Gasbarro, who put up four points and five rebounds.

Master's Academy's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5. As for Pineapple Cove Classical Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Master's Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 24-15 win against Varsity Opponent on the 13th. Pineapple Cove Classical Academy and Brevard Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
