Their game four weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Lackawanna, but their most recent match may have softened the blow. They skirted past Medina/Webber/Barker 28-26. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.
Lackawanna struggled in the first half and ended with six points. As for Medina/Webber/Barker, they scored 20 to put Lackawanna at a 6-20 disadvantage heading into the break. In the second half, however, Lackawanna's defense made a stand and allowed a meager 6 points.
Next week Lackawanna take on Olean at 1:00 PM. Lackawanna will be strutting in after a victory while Olean will be stumbling in from a defeat. Medina/Webber/Barker will take on Albion at home at 7:30 PM. Albion are cruising in on a seven-game winning streak.
