Gateway Regional couldn't beat Schalick on Tuesday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the second inning. The Gators lost 21-11 to the Cougars. Even though they lost, the Gators' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Emma Worthington made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Sophia Lynch was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
This is the second loss in a row for Gateway Regional and nudges their season record down to 1-9. As for Schalick, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
