The Babcock Trailblazers waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They walked away with a 47-34 victory over Family Christian Academy.
Babcock found their leader in underclassman Jameson Habing, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Habing has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Finn Habing, who scored 13 points.
Babcock pushed their record up to 9-9 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Family Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Babcock will challenge Donahue Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Donahue Catholic has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 768 points over their last 11 contests. Family Christian Academy on the road again on Saturday and play against LaBelle at 12:00 p.m. on January 27th.
