After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nazareth, Crosbyton was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Petersburg Buffaloes 18-11. The Chiefs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
David Scott made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Scott was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, Nolan Salazar was incredible, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024. Matthew Guerrero was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
