The Churchill Lancers will challenge the Crater Comets at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Churchill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57  points per game  this season.
Last Tuesday, Churchill came up short against North Eugene  and fell  57-49. While the Lancers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Highlanders  13-8 in the first  quarter.

Churchill might have lost, but man,  Ty Read was a machine:  he  almost  dropped  a double-double with 23  points and nine  rebounds. Those 23 points gave  Read a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Trayshawn Wright, who  posted nine  points and seven  boards.
 Even though they lost, Churchill  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 13  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least 12  offensive boards in four consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile, Crater beat Eagle Point 72-59  on Tuesday. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive  win against them.
 Churchill's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 11-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 65.3 points over those games. As for Crater, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.
 Churchill took their  win against Crater  when the teams last played  back in January by a conclusive  69-44. Will Churchill repeat their success,  or does  Crater have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
