They took a 71-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crosspoint Christian on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Crosspoint Christian was led to victory by Jace Stroup and James Murray. Stroup scored 23 points along with 3 steals, while Murray dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Murray has scored at least 25% of Crosspoint Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Weldy, who scored 8 points.
New Life Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Crosspoint Christian, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
New Life Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North County Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 12, 2024. As for Crosspoint Christian, they will be playing at home against Westwood Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Westwood Baptist Academy is ranked 53rd, while Crosspoint Christian is ranked 57th).
