On Saturday Wahpeton take on Devils Lake/Minnewaukan at 3:00 PM. Wahpeton will be strutting in after a victory while Devils Lake/Minnewaukan will be stumbling in from a loss.
Wahpeton have had to suffer through a 4-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They made easy work of Grafton/St. Thomas/Drayton last Friday and carried off a 36-6 win. Wahpeton were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, Devils Lake/Minnewaukan didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 0-6 to Valley City. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Devils Lake/Minnewaukan.
Things could have been worse for Wahpeton, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 28-43 loss to Devils Lake/Minnewaukan the last time the two teams met. The loss knocked Wahpeton out of the playoffs, so expect them to come at Devils Lake/Minnewaukan with a vengeful fire.
