It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Richland Springs Coyotes can now relate to. They took a hard 62-48 fall against the Tigers on Saturday. Richland Springs' loss signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.
It was another big night for Kyler Fossett, who rushed for 284 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.3 yards per carry for Oglesby. Fossett is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Oglesby also got a significant boost from Ej Aviles, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 91 yards.
Richland Springs' loss dropped their record down to 13-1. As for Oglesby, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 13-0 record.
Richland Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oglesby will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Benjamin at 2:00 p.m. on December 13th. Benjamin knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matchups -- so hopefully Oglesby likes a good challenge.
