There's no place like home for the Cypress Creek Bears, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road two weeks ago. They secured a 42-37 W over Timber Creek on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cypress Creek also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2022.

Despite the loss, Timber Creek still got an impressive performance from Dontae Verderber, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Verderber continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Chase Hibbard was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds and two steals.

Cypress Creek won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Freedom at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. Freedom knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Cypress Creek likes a good challenge. Timber Creek won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Horizon at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Horizon is ranked 471st, while Timber Creek is ranked 456th).
