If the North Rangers were feeling good off their 54-16 takedown of the Bedford Bearcats on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. North fell 33-26 to Lake Catholic on Saturday. North was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lake Catholic apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
North's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cami Welty, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds. Samantha Cantrell was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
North now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Lake Catholic, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
North will be playing at home against Shaw at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shaw is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Lake Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Chardon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
