Eastmoor Academy put the finishing touches on their 13th blowout victory of the season  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Africentric Early College Nubians with a sharp  20-7 win. Eastmoor Academy is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 12 straight.
  Meechie Haley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   two  hits. Haley has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Haley was even better at the plate,  getting on base  in four of his six plate appearances with six  RBI, four  runs,  and a  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  Savion Watts and  Lawrence Hairston did most of the damage at the plate:  Watts  went 2-for-2 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  stolen base, while  Hairston  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in three of his six plate appearances. Hairston is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last nine games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Mario Blount, who  went 1-for-4 with five  RBI and a  stolen base.
 Eastmoor Academy's victory was  their seventh straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 13-3. As for Africentric Early College, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
 Eastmoor Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Independence at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Eastmoor Academy's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last 12 matchups.
