The Ripon Christian Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Livingston 84-44 on the road. Ripon Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.
Ripon Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jake Vander Veen, who scored 24 points. Vander Veen hasn't dropped below 16 points for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Beidleman, who scored 18 points.
Despite the defeat, Livingston saw an underclassman step up: Adrian Aguirre scored 14 points. Jayshaan Bains was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
The victory was the seventh in a row for Ripon Christian, bringing their record for this year to 18-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points per game. As for Livingston, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-18.
Ripon Christian will head out on the road to take on the Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hilmar has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29. As for Livingston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Escalon presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Wolves in California (the Cougars are ranked 343rd, while the Wolves are ranked 990th).
