The Roman Catholic Cahillite will head out on the road to face off against the Devon Prep Tide at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Devon Prep took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Roman Catholic, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with nine losses in a row, Roman Catholic turned things around against Harry S. Truman on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 5-1.
Jack Brown made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Brown was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Pat Buckley, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Jason Good was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Devon Prep suffered their closest defeat since April 2nd on Monday. They fell just short of Archbishop Ryan by a score of 4-2.
Austin Conaty was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-11. As for Devon Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Roman Catholic suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Devon Prep when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Cahillite avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
