Pleasant Valley has gone a perfect 10-0 against Shasta recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Vikings will host the Wolves at 5:00 p.m. Pleasant Valley will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Pleasant Valley's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over Enterprise. Considering the Vikings have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Katelyn Soulliere was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Lily Thurman was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and two stolen bases while going 3-for-4. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Leila Sanchez, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Shasta unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 12-2 to Chico.
Anna Pe?a was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Pleasant Valley's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Shasta, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.
Shasta's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Pleasant Valley has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Shasta, though, as they've been averaging only 2.7 strikeouts. Will Pleasant Valley keep running through batters, or will the Wolves buck the trend?
Pleasant Valley skirted past Shasta 7-5 in their previous meeting on April 4th. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
