Lincoln (Tallahassee, Fla.) grabbed the lead when
Cameron Joseph thew a touchdown to
Reggie Davis with less than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter and held on to beat
Oviedo (Fla.) 35-29 on Saturday. The score was the final lead change in a back-and-forth contest that featured seven lead swaps.
The Lions pulled ahead on a rushing touchdown, and subsequently went into halftime leading 16-14. The Trojans scored the winning points with a Joseph touchdown pass to Davis that came in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring 14 points in the third, Lincoln still trailed by 5 points going into the fourth quarter. But seven points in the fourth helped LHS pull out the victory.
Joseph stood out for the Tallahassee school in the win. The senior quarterback threw three touchdowns. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.
The defeat comes as a step back for Oviedo, which notched a 20-19 victory over Evans in its previous outing. With the win the Trojans extended their winning streak to three games.
