Softball Recap: Kingstree Sets Scoring Season-High Against Manning

Kingstree was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Manning Monarchs, falling 17-4. One positive for the Blazers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Narasi Brown was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Demia Mosley, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Kingstree's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Manning, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Kingstree is taking a road trip to challenge East Clarendon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manning, they will host Mullins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
